Although we can’t control national policy, we can help students here at the University of Minnesota who are stressed, afraid, and feeling alone due to immigration policy changes outside their control.
I have the privilege to meet these students and hear their stories of overcoming so many barriers to pursue their education. Often they just need a little extra help to get by, and the Dream Fund can help.
Eligible students can receive a grant to provide financial assistance for housing, groceries, books, medical or dental care, or other extenuating emergencies. The fund is available to students with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals ("Dreamers"), undocumented students, and students whose Temporary Protected Status has ended.
By donating to the Dream Fund, you not only provide students with financial support, you are telling them they are valued members of the University of Minnesota community.
